Dear Valued Members,

It is a pleasure to see more Members using the Club after a long period of many holidays! This month begins a very busy calendar of events for our Members to enjoy.

Football fans can view the Chelsea vs. Manchester United football game on Sunday the 5th in the casual environment of the Member Bar while enjoying a fantastic steak special. Any of you who are interested in learning more about the history and characteristics of Bahraini pearls can attend the Bahrain Pearl event on Wednesday the 8th of this month. Our provocative speaker series returns with an overview of the role of foreign policy in the U.S. Presidential elections on February 13th. We end the month with our monthly wine tasting and dinner featuring wines of Bordeaux on Thursday, the 23rd. Please don’t forget to bring your Valentine in for Chef Cyrille’s romantic, six course gourmet Valentine’s Day dinner on February 14!

I continue to receive positive feedback on the offering in the new Skyline Lounge concept on Level 51 with its outstanding menu of International Tapas for convenient, casual fare. We have also added a bar to the room and are featuring a selection of wines by the glass to complement the small plate selections. Please come in and try it out while watching the sunset and marvelous view of Bahrain.

Our Member Relations Director, Gemma Renton, has been busy putting together Capital Club corporate lounge packages for the Formula One. Feel free to contact her about these as well as the expanded executive concierge services and preferred partner program.

This is the time of year when the annual dues billing goes out. There will be a slight increase in dues this year due to increased costs but those Members who choose to pay their annual dues in full by the end of March will have the increase waived as well as receive a 100BD dining credit applied to their account. Interested Members should contact finance department to receiving these generous incentives.
